I am 21 and would like to expand my protfolio and and interested in obtaining Cisco’s CCNA certificate and am wondering what to read to begin to understand what i will be learning. I guess im looking for good study’s for it and a basic underline pre requ i should have to begin this process. lol. Im brand new to this but a friend told me i should so here i am

Answer by Rute I’m actually going through mine right now. You definitely need a solid understand of networking and subnetting ip addresses. I’m using study guides by Todd Lamell and Wendal Odem. These helped me to pass the ICND1 exam, and I’ll be taking ICND2 in a week or two. Also, check this site for great material, including practice tests, and links to various other resources.

If I would have had a green card and went to America to work, would I get a gob with a valid CCNA certification obtained in my home country? How difficult would it be to get hired in a networking job?

Answer by Wang M hi , only own CCNA cert ? Maybe more NP DP certifications you can get before you get the job that you want .
